Drilling in the house of little researchers

For eight years now, SUMITOMO ELECTRIC Hartmetallfabrik GmbH has found a cooperation and education partner in the Westerhofen nursery school. Recognised as the "House of little researchers", the children here can gain completely new awareness of and interest  in research and discovery when they are introduced to scientific topics in a playful way.

During the nursery school children‘s visit to our production facility in Lauchheim, they prepared the production of a plug game in various steps under the guidence of our trainees. Safety glasses and work gloves were of course a must-have and with bright eyes and great zeal, the pride of the children in their ability to make their own game together with the "big ones" was evident for all to see. The enthusiasm of these little researchers was unbelievable with them wanting to look at, and try out, everything right away. In the junior project, the children were able to gain exciting experience in the world of technology and at the same time strengthen their ability to work as a team.

We wish them lots of fun playing the new game and moreover we are particularly proud of our trainees, who were instrumental in supervising the project.
