First place in the team classification at the Aalen city run 2021

On Friday, 16 July 2021, the starting signal was given for the 34th Aalen city run. However, due to the ongoing Covid19 situation, the Aalen city run took place in a slightly different form than usual this year.

Each runner completed the course individually and independently of the location between 16 July 2021 and 8 August 2021. A distance of 5 or 10 kilometres could be chosen. The results achieved were then sent to the organiser and verified by him.

To strengthen and prepare for the run, each of our runners/walkers received a small snack box with fruit, trail mix and an iso drink. On top of that, they received a Sumitomo baseball cap.

We are pleased that a total of 13 employees of Sumitomo Electric Hartmetallfabrik GmbH completed the running distance of 5 km or 10 km. The participants demonstrated enormous sporting spirit and even took 1st place in the team classification with a total of 115.55 kilometres run.

We are very proud of this outstanding result and are already looking forward to the next Aalen city run in 2022.
