Introducing: AC8020P, Sumitomo's NEW turning grade for high-efficiency machining of steel materials
It has an alumina coating with very high strength balances, outstanding stability and wear resistance in mill-scale work on forged material. Its gold-colored coating makes used corners easily identificable. It is suitable for Medium to high carbon steel machining (C30, 1.0528), for alloy steel (34CrMo4, 1.7220) and bearing steel (100Cr6, 1.3505)
Cutting Performance
- Balance of high wear resistance and stability.
- Chipping resistance 2,5 x or more with high efficiency.
- Alumina layer with even higher strength suppresses chipping.
