AC8115P Turning grade for steel machining

AC8115P is a turning grade specially developed for high-speed machining of low-alloy steels and has excellent wear resistance. The new, optimized base substrate and state-of-the-art coating technology with improved crystalline alignment enable exceptionally long service lives at high cutting speeds and dry machining.

Due to the highly hard layer, cutting speeds of up to 500m/min are achieved.

Optimization of the service life of AC8115P

The new carbide substrate offers high hardness and resistance to plastic deformation while maintaining fracture resistance and stability in demanding conditions. The innovative, new coating technology with improved crystalline structure significantly reduces tool wear and enables long service life and consistent performance with long engagement times.

Increased efficiency:

Precise alignment of crystals in the coating provides excellent resistance to scour wear and cutting edge chipping

Cost savings:

The high-performance combination of new substrate and optimized coating enables a reduction in production costs through higher productivity and process reliability.

The gold-coloured coating enables easy wear detection and thus helps to reduce increased tool costs due to premature change of the tool cutting edge.

Wide range of applications:

AC8115P is particularly efficient in automated production lines where reliability and process safety are critical.

SumiTurn X-Bar anti-vibration boring bars

Innovative Technology

The SumiTurn X-Bar is a state-of-the-art tool that significantly improves machining on long cantilevers thanks to its anti-vibration mechanism. This enables higher cutting values, resulting in faster and more efficient machining.

Better surface finish by reducing vibrations during machining.

Applications the series is particularly suitable for:

Deeper holes: Ideal for applications with drilling depths up to 6 times the tool diameter (6D).

Precise Holes: A cost-effective solution for precise internal machining with high surface finish.

Versatile applications: From roughing to fine finishing.

In combination with a wide variety of insert geometries and chip breakers, the most diverse materials can be machined efficiently and safely.
