APM Modular quick change system

The modular APM quick-change sys­tem is spe­cially de­signed to reduce set-up times in pro­duction. The high-pre­cision poly­gon cone shape and ground flat sur­faces at the inter­faces ensure ex­cellent re­peat­ability of less than 5μm with com­parable rigid­ity to con­ventional mono­bloc hol­ders. This sys­tem is ideal for CNC Swiss auto­matic lathes and small lathes and offers suit­able inter­change­able heads for all common machining oper­ations (turning, profile turning, back­turning, grooving and grooving as well as thread tur­ning)

The Smart Dam­per SDB is a real set-up time mira­cle that con­vinces with its out­standing sta­bility, flexi­bility and anti-vi­bra­tion pro­per­ties. The SDB bo­ring rod is spe­cially de­signed for in­ter­nal tur­ning of longer work­pieces, where it is par­ticularly impor­tant to suppress vi­bration in order to im­prove ma­chi­ning quality and extend tool life.

Stability: The Smart Damper SDB pro­vides ex­cellent vi­bration dam­ping, even with long tool over­hangs, which greatly in­creases the sta­bility of the ma­chi­ning process. Thanks to the inno­vative anti-vi­bra­tion mecha­nism in the drill rod, ex­cellent sur­face fini­shes are achieved de­spite long tool pro­trusions.

Flexi­bility: By using inter­change­able, in­dex­able inter­change­able heads, the boring rod can be easily adapted to different machi­ning tasks. This allows ma­chine operators to quickly and accu­rately switch be­tween the different tool heads with­out having to re­con­figure the entire sys­tem.
