Secure a special offer now for the GND grooving system including the latest extensions

Grooving, a process used on a variety of parts such as automotive components. Unlike general turning, chip buildup can occur and damage machined surfaces. In addition, because the entire width of the cutting edge is in contact with the workpiece during machining, the stress on the cutting edge is high, easily leading to tool vibration or similar challenges. With excellent chip control and high rigidity, our GND series grooving system overcomes the above challenges and optimizes grooving operations. This is also reflected in the cost reduction.

The already established GND grooving system has now been considerably expanded with several innovations. Especially for installation in smaller machines, there are now new holder cross-sections with internal coolant supply: 12x12mm, 20x12mm, 16x16mm and 20x16mm. In addition, the selection of grooving insert radii has been increased. Moreover four new carbide grades have been added, bringing the grooving program to a total of 10 grades to choose from.

Among other things, the new grades expand the application in steel materials towards high speed with grade AC8025P and more toughness with grade AC8035P. In the area for machining heat-resistant and exotic alloys such as Inconel and Hastelloy, we recommend grade AC5025S as 1st choice and grade AC5015S for high-speed, full-cut machining.
